Leeds Rhinos • ALL NEW 49ERS ERA LEEDS UTD THREAD

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

What a silly silly lad. He’s being very badly advised by his agent. We all thought he was a grounded decent lad but a few good performances early in the season has gone to his head. I think we know why he wasn’t selected towards the end of the season, I bet his attitude in training wasn’t right.

Very impressive response by Leeds to this. As JB says, unless someone comes in with £25m + at least, he won’t go anywhere. He can rot on the sidelines and forget his euros with Italy. It’s yet more volatility we could do without though. Читать дальше...

Not enough spaces for every player in SL who's eligible and primarily going to play reserves. Player development in the past has really suffered for players just having no games to play.

Bradford Bulls • Re: Baldwinson new deal

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I've totally changed my view of Baldwinson this year. When I've watched him the past few seasons, I
thought he was a bit of a journeyman out for an easy ride. This year, though, he seems to have found a new impetus, and has looked like he's been putting in a good stint. Shame about the injury, but welcome news that he's staying.

We fought them from Boulevard, the length of Selby Street to Anlaby Road flyover ffs.
Any token sense of civilty was dispelled on that particular Good Friday, never to return again.
Up the Leopards.

Leigh Leopards • Frank

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

We're going to Wembley but I will miss seeing Frank there, a regular on this forum, who sadly passed away a few years ago. I miss seeing him on the buzz travelling from Manchester to Leigh. He was Leigh mad and it's a shame he didn't see the team we have now. Another one missing is Henry (Roman Soldier) who also passed away a few years ago. Another friend I don't see at matches now is Big John, who would often stand at matches with Frank and myself. Don't know what happened to John. I'm sure Frank... Читать дальше...

Cheers UR, on this day in 3114 BC The Mesoamerican Long Count calendar, used by several pre-Columbian Mesoamerican civilizations, notably the Mayans, begins. Whatever, it's Friday and that's all we need to know!

Jordan Baldwinson has signed a 1 year extension. Decent business as he looked pretty good this year until getting injured.

Look, you're right - you're welcome to an opinion, however gloomy. I just wonder about the absolute certainty you have that it will all end so badly. I'm willing to accept that it could end badly. But I prefer to think that Sam has looked at us, decided there is a job that could be done and offered up his services. If the reports of him requesting training videos and keeping Gary Chambers up til 2 am are right, then he certainly means business. All the testimonials... Читать дальше...

How do everyone. Well I've been in London since about 11.30 this morning. Good to see a few leopards kicking about the place. Tomorrow will be an epic day. Have fun everyone and see you on the other side.

Warrington Wolves • Pond Life Corner

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Sally brought back a blast from the past in describing the delightful spectating area at Wilderspool commonly referred to as "Pond Life Corner". He refers to it as containing "scallies and grumpy men".

I wanted to enquire if we have any current forum members who elected to stand there?

Myself I preferred the cover, latrines and aroma of the Fletcher Street End, with occasional forays onto the 25m line of the standing in the Bevan Stand if my Dad was coming.

Who used to change ends at HT? Читать дальше...

Warrington Wolves • Simon Moran - 20 Years

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I'm not 100% sure about Deakin. He definitely had great enthusiasm and was very different from the other RL administrators back then as he believed in promoting and selling the game. He had some bold ideas like the free jersey with a season ticket, and getting Langer over was a real coup as back then nobody outside Wigan used to sign the Aussie greats.

But the club still felt like it was run in an amateurish way when he was here. Others on here more in the know might know better but I remember... Читать дальше...
