Wigan Warriors • Re: Cup Final who do you want to win?

Leigh all the way.

Keep it in the area. We've done loads in local schools etc with it and hopefully Leigh can do the same. Keep the RL fire and it can only be good for us.

2nd row and bench is the only dilemma, Hughes and O’Donnell start for me, Mellor has to be on the bench, big Ben earned a spot, then you have Holmes, Davis, Ava, wildie. Think Holmes and Davis for me

I can only think the club are confident Balmforth can do a job there, will be 20 next year, has the size and will have played virtually a full season in the championship.

Despite not being great away from home, our recent home form has been excellent.

We clearly would like to win this one but, the derby game wont be THE decisive result but, it would give advantage to the victorious side.

I think it will absolutely be the decisive game.

What changed at Warrington for Price was the meddling in player recruitment & retention by the board.

Both Price & KFP said "No" to signing Latu, but SM over ruled them both and signed him anyway. That's when SM agreed to never get involved again in player recruitment.

The same happened with the extension handed to Sita by other members of the board including KFP. Hence why Price played him on the wing in one of the games to send a message.

Warrington Wolves • Re: Simon Moran - 20 Years

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I see Simon as an enabler - he's done his bit by spending his money. I'm not convinced that the rest of the hierarchy within the club has given him value (aside from the 2010-13 period) in terms of professionalism, ruthlessness and succession planning . Most other clubs would kill to have an owner like him and I don't think we've made the most of it. He probably saved the club from a far worse fate.

Warrington Wolves • Simon Moran - 20 Years

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Having read various opinions on the running of the club over the past few weeks on social media, and see'ing a minority of comments about sacking the board etc, it made me realise that the younger fans won't remember what it was like pre Simon Moran.

Although he joined the Warrington board in 1999, he bought the controlling shares in 2003 and effectively became the owner of the club. So Simon Moran has now owned the club for 20 years, and wondered what everyone's thoughts are on him with... Читать дальше...

Really don't understand why you'd be poking your nose into signing/re-signing players and going over the head of your coach and CEO. If Latu and Sita were his decisions then thank heavens he's taken a step back.

Interesting to hear about Mulhern, you can't imagine any players getting too arrogant with Sam in charge.
