Wigan Warriors • Re: Catalans (a)

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Feels like this is the last chance to really build some confidence and momentum prior to the play offs. Play well and even in a close defeat, I think we can gain some belief but if we go there, keep playing with zero patience and get run over and I think any sort of hope I have of being successful in 2023 will evaporate. We have all the tools to worry anybody but we can’t keep self harming.

Bradford Bulls • Re: 2024 Squad and Recruitment

So who do we want to see come in next season. A decent end to the season and new coach might just make us a bit more of an attractive place ti come.

Would love an Adam Gledhill or Joel Farrell. Hardend established Champ forwards.
Nathan Mason?
Can we keep Segayaro if not O'Brian?

Backs we need a couple of wingers, utility centre/backrow. Or utility wing/fullback

1st choilce fullback with Homles at 7 and Lilley at 9.
Id be after Matty Marsh.

Lets hear some (realistic) names! Читать дальше...

Blimey! I've just watched the highlights of last Sunday's game against London and all i can say is we need to have the tackle bags out at training this week!

Wigan Warriors • Catalans (a)

I hope some of their preparation will involve looking at the weather and adjusting accordingly. The forecast for Saturday there is 31c - 90f. That is very hot!

Perhaps negotiations with match officials about a water break.
Maybe kicking on the sixth we kick it into touch giving a few seconds break instead of belting to their fullback/wingman to run it back at us. Our line speed over the 80 might not be where we want it to be. Harry is the best field kicker in SL so he can put the ball where we want it more or less. Читать дальше...

What has the new(ish) building between the athletics pitch and the reserves/academy grass pitch got in it? That seems big enough for a gym and physio setup? Could that be extended relatively cheaply, or does it belong to the council?

Yes it’s a council facility (criminally underused as the council want to charge a fortune for anyone to use it - Latchford Giants for example don’t use it or the pitch (though they do use the new 4G for training, as do a few other community clubs in winter). Читать дальше...

We don’t have a squad this year to have a good play off run, Halton returning will provide options - personally centre - it’s been a brilliant year and anything else is a bonus as we build a bigger and better squad for 2024

Warrington Wolves • New Coach

I wasn’t that fussed about him coming this season but Chambers’ preference for Dudson over Bullock and his recently professed love for Crowther means I’m hoping Sam is here by Friday!!!

I hope that doesn't change his mind!

Rumours flying around about Appo. He signed a one year deal with the option of a second. Hope we hang onto him as I think he's got plenty of unrealised potential.

Wakefield Trinity • Re: Salford vs Wakefield - Game discussion

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Salford have selected a very strong squad. In my opinion everyone of their 1 to 7 is better than everyone our equivalent players. Will need to be a massive improvement to get a win out of this game. It could also be a very long night and our points difference could be increased significantly. Hope I am wrong but the bookies giving us 14 start think we have little chance.

Leeds Rhinos • Have Leeds lost hunger, as a club?

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Its a bit weirdly timed to come out with that and almost simultaneously announce Miller. That announcement could have been cut and pasted from most of the last 8 years. The only difference this season is not needing to add the fact that we're in a relegation battle.

I like Miller as a signing. Lets hope we add a couple more players with real class.

Burgess is one player I'd advocate going all out for money wise and putting him on marquee spot.

That would be a really statement signing IMO

I thought burgess had just resigned at south’s and any deal would be for year after, which would be a big risk with a prop imo.

Definitely think we should have kept one of Griffin or him, only reason I can think we didn't keep either is Smith has someone lined up, maybe a contracted player like Sutcliffe. Be very disappointed if we end up with Lane... Читать дальше...

So I see there's absolutely no reaction to Catalans successfully appealing McIllorum's ban. He has one of the worst disciplinary records going and gets off. No controversy, no Twitter meltdown, no barrage of articles from the terrible RL press. Compare and contrast to the mass hysteria whenever Saints appeal a ban, successfully or not.

Was it one of those second technical appeals made infamous by the Morgan Knowles appeal? There’s about as much trust in those as a in a mini-licensing round... Читать дальше...
