Odd signing. Hopefully just a squad filler on low wages but as Saddened alludes to shouldn’t these positions be filled by our youngsters? Academy watchers will know better but I presume Lindop is a year or two away?

“Hopefully just a squad filler”…

Good grief ratti.
I sincerely hope he’s a hell of a lot better than that!!

If we're losing by half time just turn the sprinklers on and say they're stuck on. We'd get to replay it later in the week when the players have had a bit of a rest

Not sure this 30 min session is going to be in our favour to win this game - it’s basically now 2 teams giving there all, no real need for interchanges. Over 80 mins reckon we have too much for Hudds, despite it being close I never... Читать дальше...

What seems to get forgotten is that Kay is a decent winger. We have managed to get games out of him elsewhere fortunately for the team. The amount of wingers we have carried in recent years for me is wrong. More important positions should have been prioritised.

Leigh v Huddersfield tomorrow, the game continues from the 49th minute. Is that right? It’s only a 31 minute game, I thought abandoned games were replayed for the full 80 minutes

Death, taxes and Hull FC crap in September.

Ignoring the random 2020 season which went on until November and we got to the play off semi our September record is hideous

What do they acheive though?

A couple of awkward questions batted away by Clark/Pearson, then boring questions to an overseas player about whats the difference between playing in Aus and over here and then a chorus of Old Faithful.

Hull FC • State of the Nation

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

So another season shambles to a merciful end. As has been said on social media, without Clifford (and Swift) we'd be right in the relegation dogfight.

With gates miraculously holding up and a massive imbalance in both quality and quantity of players going out vs coming in we need some sort of communication from the club. If we're skint and will need to rely on the academy for a few years then it is what it is but let's be transparent please. We're miles off being a play-off side realistically... Читать дальше...

Maybe I used the wrong word Arthur. What I’m trying to say is it would be great if they could win the next 3, but to do that would mean beating Wigan, Catalans and Cas. They should beat Cas, but the others will take some doing, and the bit I’m trying to get at is that they will need to hold their nerve when inevitably some things go wrong.

This side works relatively hard for each other, I agree, but they don’t do the little things that good sides do. We don’t push hard enough when defending... Читать дальше...

Looking like, maybe Vella will be referee tomorrow. Aaron Moore was touch judge for the Leigh v Huddersfield game which is now to be completed tomorrow. If the same officials are in charge, which is logical, he won't be able to referee our game as per the ref appointments. Mick Gledhill is suggesting it's Vella to replace him and he's not officiating anywhere else. Mind you, neither is Worsley!!!!!!

Breath of fresh air comments by Danny Ward, no comments on injuries, no comments on referee performance, just focusing on what they did wrong. Rowley, Wellens, Powell please take note.

The Virtual Terrace • Saints squad, can they be stopped?

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Pains me to say it but I think it’s Wigans year this year. Catalans just don’t have the mentality for the big games and Saints are just too disjointed in attack. Wigan seem to be hitting form at the right time.

I feel it’s theirs to lose

Let’s not kid ourselves, he’s recognised by fans for his versitality but he hasn’t particularly played well in any of those positions.

I think he's not always had enough game time, I think we play better with him on the field.

Agree with everything that has been said in this post regarding recruitment etc.
Obviously gfb has stated we have no money for next season so whilst most of the recruitment has been done we will probably have to settle for up and coming youngsters or journeymen to bulk out the squad. On the flip side I’ve also heard we’re spending £ 600k so don’t know what to believe.

My reservation regarding Finn is that we don’t address what is the root of our problem, indiscipline, the indiscipline... Читать дальше...
