Maybe his price went too high who knows.

Good player but Nikorima (for example) would be much cheaper and allow us to invest in maybe another prop or 9?

If Thompson is off to Wigan and Eseh Saints, maybe we get hold of Burgess. That would definitely add punch.

Both players nominated thoroughly deserve it. I’ve always admired Parata’s level of graft, FWIW I voted for him as player of the year. He may not do the glamorous stuff but he works damn hard and is very effective. Massive amount of tackles he gets through.
I’m guessing one or two SL clubs will now be keeping an eye on BL. If they haven’t already. He’s had a great season, he’s very comfortable at Championship level.
