Salford have a toughie this weekend (Saturday) away against a KR side that seem to be in form. They then host Cats who will still be gunning for a top two finish and thus a home semi. Lose either and they cannot catch Leigh.
Warrington face Saints at home (without Williams) then go to Giants. Wire have an 80 (in game) points superiority over Salford. Top six is theirs for the losing in this book.
Leigh are all but home and hosed and, whilst no one wants to commit another club to relegation... Читать дальше...

He definitely doesn’t want to go back. However as I posted last week there’s a big difference between what they are paying him and what Wigan value him at under the cap.
It’s a short career and he needs to earn as much as he can.

Such an odd sequence of events. Played with a dodgy pair of centres all year while an international we had on contract was on loan boosting a rival.
Let's just hope his head is back in it because the talent is clear to see.

Crowds don't seem terrible, averaging around 3,500 this season according to Rugby League Project.
Just goes to show how much of a hole relegation from SL can blow in your finances at the minute, as we are well aware.

The most pleasing thing about Byrne and Havard is having them tied down to long term deals. You cannot develop your own props, blood them in the first team and see them walk away at 22/23 because they won’t be at their best until 26/27/28+. It’s sad to lose KPP just as we’re seeing him kick on but to have those two and Dupree at a good age really sets us up.

The backline they started with had Jowitt, Murphy, Hall and Kershaw or Lineham in it. Plus Lino.
It wasn't slow. We just lost them through injury and then Hall through a deal.

Just for the record.......there are highlights of the game on Youtube now and I would guestimate fewer than 400 at BEST and if I am truthful, 300 would be generous.
Unless there are fans elsewhere than in the ground other than that one stand....you decide (these were the best images I could get from the cameraman who was obviously told not to show the stand......)

Hard to see anything other than a comfortable win for Leigh for me , I feel the fight had drained from our team a while ago (Cas game )as for me that was custard’s last stand , and we failed miserably and ended up the whipping boys for our neighbours. I’m just going to watch these last two games without that knot in my stomach and a dry throat hoping amongst hope that we would stay in the top flight ,yet watching a car crash on the field unfold before our eyes
Hayes and Wrench are both starting.
