Talking of wingers, does Ethan Ryan have a club for next season yet? Think he could be a decent replacement for Swift

I think we have enough varied punishments for infringements as it is without adding to the confusion of fans & referees. The game needs simplifying.

London Broncos • Widnes

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Those drilled into touch were pretty deliberate energy saving. What I was talking about was when they went into the air, much much better than us in where it went. Agree had they got another score when it was 30-12 then it could have been interesting. What was pleasing was support play when a break was made. Discipline was pretty good, I think into total whole game 6 penalties, we got rightly caught offside a couple of times. Credit to both teams and good comms not 1 set restart

Tony Smith is totally in love with himself and as long as you are too you'll get on fine.

He also got Rovers to 80mins from both Wembley and Old Trafford. Читать дальше...

It was a good reply as I don’t know much about him other than some on here mentioning it…Chris Thorman…il raise you henjack, portlock, dykes,Seymour, miller x 2…they was either gash or injured but at least I saw them play

Wakefield Trinity • Re: Phil Seymour

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Where I disagree with Phil is that he thinks Bennett wouldn't have got any more out of this squad. We'll never really know, but a top quality coach in all sports makes the 10% decisions - the sort of decisions that turn a tight loss into a tight win, or a thumping into a respectable loss.

Some more composure and better tactics in a few of our close games this season might have seen us take something away from them.

I always find it really strange that ex players will say things in situations like those, that they would never say on TV. He’s working in the game and I’m sure will have at least heard how Wigan got on at Catalans, in a physically dominant performance, so it then looks nothing more than a comment to get a few cheers. Wakefield Trinity • Phil Seymour

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Our ex announcer is not holding back on twitter saying Applegarth is a good man and a good coach who didn't sign this squad, my thoughts are these.

Applegarth may be a very good man but it can't be said he's a good coach at this level. Why did he take this job if he had no input in signing the players and if he didn't who did and who recommended them. Did he actually coach the team and was he told to pick players. I hope the lad gets a job as an assistant somewhere, learns and comes back a better coach in the game. Читать дальше...

Leeds Rhinos • Re: RD 25 | Wigan Warriors (H)

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I do think RS can be better judged either way next season. With his men in, his idea of dead wood largely gone, a full pre-season then we really need to be better next season.

We won’t get as many chances like this to sweep a broom through and have as much cap/quota/marquee available in one season and we need to see the master plan emerging.

We also need those spine players here and in training from the start of pre-season.

I don’t think Gary will have gone through many hard hats and laser levels during the stadium rebuild. The footprint of the stadium was always going to be the same and having a certain Mr Caddick on board means it was always going to be a well designed and structurally solid renovation. Leeds Rhinos • EXTENSION | James Bentley - Expires: 2025

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Isn't it likely that Bentley will be on less than his current deal? He was signed as an up and coming star, but aside from a few games at the end of last season hasn't lived up to that. Based on the fact he was apparently sounding out offers elsewhere but stayed we might have been the only half-decent offer going.

Leeds Rhinos • RD 25 | Wigan Warriors (H)

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

The only part of Swarcliffe's post I'd take issue with is saying its not all GH's fault but then pointing out its the culmination of poor decisions back almost a decade. While not "all" his fault clearly the bulk of the blame for that period has to go with the senior decision-maker who has been there the whole time? I genuinely can't think of many big decisions that he's made in recent years that have been good in the long term (unless you include getting rid of coaches he appointed in the first place before we actually got relegated)? Considering they are paying Zero for the rights and it's sky who have allowed Channel 4 to show matches that automatically shoots down your argument.

Also are you seriously trying to suggest that sky never advertise super league during a premier league match. You can't be serious if you believe that. Читать дальше...
