2 Bobs was a bright spot in some dark days. Bit like Tim Street.
Sounds like 2 Bobs didn’t miss with the chair!

The show with Peter Sterling is superb. Sterlo got emotional talking about FC. I’m not crying you are.

Halifax Panthers • Re: Should They Stay Or Should They Go

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

SG’s final interview has a few comments on retention and recruitment and the state of the club so worth a listen.

Basically there won’t be wholesale changes but there will be some incomings and the majority have been done with a couple more bits of business to follow which according to him should give us a competitive squad in a competitive division.

The club faces some difficulties and challenges and he mentioned not owning our ground as one of them but it was in good hands and that was about it. Читать дальше...

Thomas Doyle to Wakefield apparently. Not sure who his agent is but if he wants to be a SL player he seems to be choosing some odd clubs to try and achieve it with!

Not really heard of him. Is he any good?

Saw him live for Keighley at Batley earlier this year and seen him on tv a couple of times. Can’t say he stood out to be honest but its a small sample size and he has time on his side. Looks more of a Hood style hooker rather than a ‘scooter’ if you get what i mean.

In all seriousness I hope it does well. Have I missed where it says where it goes from and the time. LBSA site were sounding the idea out for a 9am from Richmond, I hope they aren’t competing against each other.

I think we need to schedule a reserve fixture for the day before the GF just in case

We need to stop banning everyone for trivial offences. I see very few tackles these days which have deliberate intent. Making contact with the head after first hitting the ball should just be a penalty, a crusher tackle where the attacker is backing into the defender should be another that is dealt with leniently as should tackles that are slightly late. What is everybody's target/aims for 2024. Unless youth surprises us I don’t think we’re a team who can challenge yet.

Realistically I just want us to compete in every game, play and exciting style of rugby and be around the play offs.

I think 2025 is the year we need to see the squad actually evolve into a challenger.

I expect us to be in the bottom half but I expect us to still be in with a shout for the top6.

Even more amazing that we managed to qualify whereas a far superior side in all areas of the field over at Halifax didn't. Barely a single player would make their starting line up and yet we've ended up 3rd, I guess it helps being the RFL pets afterall.

Don't I can't get over Keighley going down when they are a far better side than us and should have finished well above us.
