Wakefield Trinity • Re: Championship
I'm not saying this season was predictable, but it has been pretty obvious from the start that it was only heading in one direction

For relegating your home town team at the first time of asking.

Finally starting to play when the game is already lost is sadly an improvement

One poxy stand isn’t going to make up for the absolute dross for the past two or three years.

Alot of the errors coming from trying to magic a win from nothing. Forcing passes, lose carries and so on. If we can play more organised and have the players to do that it would probably attend to itself

Leigh have left Asiata out for tonight, look forward to hearing that reason.

Sutcliffe can't be 100%, still cringe with Lovodua in the halves, could be a rough night. They've got everything to play for and we don't have anything apart from pride, hopefully we'll still turn in a good performance.

Let’s hope I’m right mate!
Excited to see young Qareqare develop he looks a good prospect - has that granite Fijian heritage. Bit of Marcus Bai about him (I know he wasn’t Fijian)…

On my last journey to Headingley on coach this time, one of my regular travel companions told me one of our sponsors will pull the plug next season, he’s not happy with being asked for more cash from JC.

Looks like we were/are in for Sailor
Fraters a bit of a dark horse to make it, he's absolutely rapid, powerful and quite skillful, never been regarded as one of the stars of this group, but he's really developed well over the last 12 month
Been a weird season for our Academy, loads of talent in the backs, but a combination of barley ever plaing our strongest team and a poor set of forwards has seen some poor results.

Whilst Peet has quite rightly lauded O Neill as one of the best young players in SL in his press conference, it’s also refreshing to see him give huge credit too to Delaney. I’ve mentioned him on here months ago as a real standout and someone with huge potential to be playing prop at 19 and not looking out of place.
I know Hill has been good too but Delaney has played way more minutes this season.
Well done to Peet for his comments.

Just watched a few of their highlights and they have some pace across the park and like to move the ball with a decent spine of 1,7 and 9.
Jake Shorrocks rarely misses with the boot so discipline will be just as important as ever.
We need to start like we finished at Haven on Sunday, match them and get on top in the pack and play at the right end of the field and they are a bit suspect in D with the left edge in particular being exposed.

He’s on a plane on Saturday, baby due on Sunday.
The bloke’s in a class of his own for enthusiasm. Let’s hope tonight the inspiration for his 16 team mates leaves us error free for a change.

I don't think it's that coaches are scared, I think we just haven't produced quality players. MacNamara and Kebab have been okay. Hookem didnt make it.
You could say that youth coaching is the issue. Or our falling catchment of players. But if the quality isnt there then there's not much you can do at first team level.
I've watched a few games this year and think Harman, Medforth and Charles look decent. But they don't look SL quality right now in the way Balmforth did. Let's hope that changes. Читать дальше...
If we're chucking silly money around I'd sooner have Victor Radley, as for the publicity factor Farrell would bring you could bet Mr Danson's last 10p the Union press would immediately turn on him, rubbish him
