Leeds Rhinos • Re: Cameron Smith - Captain

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Smith was doing the job of 13 plus that of 2 half backs at times last year while running his blood to water, ill forgive him the dips in form/decision making he had at times because there was very obvious mitigation. Next year I'm sure you'll see the player he really is (even though he was still one of our best for large chunks of a trying season).

Yes sounds interesting. Good to get some extra quality in and if he takes a knock we have three alternatives already signed who can take his place. Davis, Davies and Leyland Jnr.

I am merely providing evidence that you don’t know what you are talking about, I do accept that you had a specific need for acceptance by backing the incumbents. I still believe you questioned the abilities of Peters at KR.

Smith was waaaaaay down the list of poor performers last year.

In a team sport any speccies views can only ever be subjective. I stood behind the sticks last season and Smith drove me mad at times, his poor decision making near the line in attack more than anything. I’m not gonna assassinate the guy by throwing other perceived failings into the mix, he’s a trier and that’s to be lauded. Having said that, it seems that certain players get the plaudits for “effort”... Читать дальше...

The Virtual Terrace • Magic Weekend 2024 To Be At Elland Road

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Personally love magic weekend. It's a great weekend but we need more going on around the ground. The fan zones and half time/between match entertainment have been poor for years. Doesn't need to be expensive stuff either. Mascot races competitions etc cost next to nothing. Market it properly and it would be a success.

Don't like the venue choice this year. Best one for me was Edinburgh (though I know I'm in the minority). Hopefully they can sign a multi year deal with a stadium as fans that go live it. Читать дальше...

He looked destined for great things back then but chose to join Hull KR just before they got relegated. His career never really recovered from that.

Hello, everyone.

Thinking of heading over to catalan for the first game of the season with my nephew.

Anyone any advice on best places to fly to or best place to base, thinking of heading over on Thursday and coming back Sunday. Where will most of the fans stay, fly to?

Thanks

Sounds like the Lazenby, in which case it will be academy lads out.

Maybe a first teamer or two needing a few minutes.

I agree. Would be nice to have back up but to Vasty's point, we'd be better off waiting and the Wigan deal or pick up someone not getting a game in Super League.
If something happens in a game Kay can cover.

The DR deal with Wigan is ideal for covering areas where we lack depth, and I agree with most that FB is an obvious one.

DR is an excellent vehicle if used correctly. Like everyone else I'd like to see our own youth given the chance, but there... Читать дальше...

It's been a while since I went to Belle Vue. I usually stand on the side opposite the main stand. You can get quite close to the action but it's a bit a "worm's eye" view. Have the toilets been done up recently? Last time I went it was reminiscent of that footbath you get at the swimming pool as you leave the changing rooms.

It's a good 1st fixture and will showpiece the championship very nicely.

He played at full back for south Newcastle in 1st grade. Highlights on him on you tube where he scored a lot of tries from that position.

I know their UK supplier had issues at the end of last year, going into administration. Hull FC have left Hummel as well, so it may be that the company have chosen to withdraw from making Rugby stuff.

On the plus side, I've got a lovely trip to Catalans to look forward to and flights for less than £80 in July.
