As pleased as I am with how we have started, it is farcical we are scratching around for second rowers when one of ours is in the Salford squad for Thursday night.

There used to be capped ticket prices in Super League too. How far do we go before our tickets are considered 'ridiculous'?

The Whale

Films don´t get any tougher to watch than this Oscar nominated triumph from Darren Aronofsky starring Brendan Fraser in the lead role and with a cast of just six, all of whom are exemplary, and a single filming location.

Based around the last days of a morbidly obese man trying to reconnect with his estranged daughter it has garnered criticism for the use of a ´fat suit´by the lead actor. But push the controversy aside and sit down for a masterclass in acting with every participant at the very top of their game. Читать дальше...

That's good news about Sutcliffe & Lane especially with losing Taylor. Hopefully both Sao & Brown will come back in to the 17 with Savelio.
If Shaul is fit wonder if its worth dropping McIntosh and Shaul coming in?

I wouldn't play lane or mcintosh even if passed

Lane hasn't kicked on and mcintosh is just a liability defence and under high ball

Not saying that it isn't a possibility, just that the infections and antibiotics seem to be only a Catalan thing aside from the player IWTID knows of. Читать дальше...

I hope this winning and playing well run continues and that by the Easter period it will be obvious that we have turned a corner under Powell. Signs are promising but I'm conscious it's 2 games, and we were 3 from 3 last season and yet 2 weeks later we were getting beaten at home by Wakefield.

I agree, though the 3 games last year felt like they posed more questions than they answered (Cas @ home aside maybe). This years 2 performances seem to be answering some tough questions. Читать дальше...

Anyone any idea what he actually does at Wigan anymore?

For me, him being the England coach could either be great or an absolute disaster. Imagine being Smithies, or Smith and having to negotiate a new deal with Wane in the room - especially when he thought Marc Sneyd was a better option than you. Snyed FfS.

Likewise, there's plenty of talk about Thompson for 2024. Wane dropped him etc. Hardly the best start to a negotiation.

Thompson might be best left alone. Читать дальше...

I would agree - hopefully Sunak and then Starmer will elevate the behaviour of the MPs and the government as a whole. We wont end up with another Pandemic and the scum that took advantage and weak ministers who allowed it to happen

That would have been a really good suggestion, but Aekins limped off on Sunday and now Pickersgill, who is Fev's 3rd or 4th choice full back (behind Aekins, Kheirallah and maybe Hall) looks likely to start for Fev..

Cooper is an example of the Wire home grown fallacy.

If a home grown player comes into the first team and is crap and moves on, you can bet he will have a million supporters on here, who will claim that he was a rugby genius but was ruined by bad coaching, so bad that even when he moved on to other clubs he was still never any good because we ruined him so badly.

But then if a home grown player actually turns out good and becomes part of our regular first team for a decade or so, wins honours... Читать дальше...

Hopefully we're seeing signs that last year's nonsense is gone. It was a knee-jerk reaction to fears of litigation down the track, which if continued would have turned the sport into a complete lottery without doing anything about the actual risks.

I'm sort of glad they have changed tact in their approach to this, but I have absolutely no faith that it will be administered consistently. Also if a player gets concussion don't they have to sit out for 12 days? With zero chance of a ban for a high shot expect a few dubious head contacts where teams play each other twice in quick succession, cup games, playoffs etc, that surely has to be discouraged? Halifax Panthers • Re: WINDINES VISCOUNTS VS HILLFOX PANTS

That was a hard watch, and getting up @ 3am didn't help. Lost in every single department. I don't think Widnes did anything exceptional. It was a typical Kear team but they did the basics very well. I reserved my judgment on the pack debate but my word we lack punch. You can see what Grix is going for, the working the opposition big men around scheme but too easily dominated. I hope we don't ever include another DR unless of injury. If Murray, King or even Forster were essentially dropped in favour... Читать дальше...
