It would be a real shame if he were to leave - looks like a good young player
Who is his agent - hopefully not SMTM

Are you joking (I guess I should check IG!)?
Hope he is back by Wednesday as Mash was only giving them 2/3 days off.
That would be a big indicator for how serious the player is.

Anyone heard anything about Newmans injury?
I've been told worse than RS letting on but not a reliable source

If we get relegated are we not entitled to any compensation under the homegrown rules for Eseh/Bowes/Pratt/Windrow etc.
To be perfectly honest if we do end up in the championship I’m hoping these lads are the ones that make up part of the team next season. We wouldn’t just lose them for free surely after the effort of developing them?
If we do end up relegated we absolutely must stay full time like Fev and look to top the league. Читать дальше...

I saw a post the other day from a bloke on RW&B saying "we won't go down" in almost a "nod nod, wink wink" manner.
I think it's rubbish personally. Even if it saves us, why would the RFL / Img make such a drastic move and blow any credibility that they have built up so far?

Draw for round six is tonight around 6.30 on the BBC News Channel
Who do we fancy? We drew Featherstone and Sheffield at this stage in the last two seasons so perhaps due a SL team by the law of averages
1. Batley Bulldogs
2. Castleford Tigers
3. Catalans Dragons
4. Halifax Panthers
5. Huddersfield Giants
6. Hull FC
7. Hull KR
8. Leeds Rhinos
9. Leigh Leopards
10. London Broncos
11. St Helens
12. Salford Red Devils
13. Wakefield Trinity
14. Warrington Wolves

Hull FC claiming almost 11,000 at their game yesterday.
Not a chance. I’ve seen a video of the attendance and nowhere near that figure.
Hull FC have been exaggerating their attendance for many many years now.
I would post the video but unsure how to on here.

Think they mentioned on commentary on Thursday night that Walker had displaced Clark as the best 9 at the club. Not sure that's quite the case yet but Walker was one of the few to come out of Thursday night with some positives.
Clark will be 31, Walker 24 at the start of next season, both will want decent game time, much may depend on whether Clark will be happy with a dual role long term, will he be happy playing 30 mins at 9 and 20 mins at 13 and will Walker be happy only getting 50 mins a week? Читать дальше...
Guess what number ball Trinity have, that’s right number 13,
The draw for the Sixth Round of the Betfred Challenge Cup (Men's) will be broadcast live on the BBC News Channel's Sportsday programme on Monday 24 April, 6:30pm.
All 12 Betfred Super League sides enter the competition at this stage, joining the four Championship clubs who with home advantage made it through the weekend’s Round Five ties – Batley Bulldogs, Halifax Panthers, London Broncos and York Knights.
Sportsday is available on Freeview (Channel 231)... Читать дальше...
Just logged in since the Saints. As I value my sanity I haven’t read any subsequent posts. Would i be right in summarising them as “ we are pooh again, and just lucky to have won the earlier games, sack off all the players and the coach”?

Not sure how someone like Connor fits into a methodical Watson coached team.
His game plan is effective when it works, but very restricting. Like when they went for two early on. They could have played on, and had Hull rocking if they’d scored a try.
He’ll be expensive to get rid of, as he took shed loads of back room staff with him. Part of the reason he didn’t come here!

Thanks for the feedback everyone, and just to let you know and pick up on something another poster (The pieman) talked about last week, they have lined up 3 guest so far for future episodes.
So far a player, member of backroom staff, and a CEO of a SL team all lined up. Needs a little bit of organising and not sure they'll be able to do one of thise every week but 1 every 3 or 4 episodes I think will just give it the variety it needs.
240 plays in the last week so a nice little start... Читать дальше...
Applegarth said post match that Dagger had to pull out before kick off and he had to move Liam Kaye to fulback. He said that Liam made a good job of it so why didn't we do that when Max got injured instead of swapping Corey Hall. The mind boggles.

seems to let players go that wont work hard, no matter who are. springer being a prime example.
when pickersgill was at bradford probably any team in the league would have taken him with his form. fev got him then sidelined in place of others. will be very good cover for woody if injured or needed in halves.
fleming takes 3 defenders to put him down, makes plenty of space for the backs to exploit.
Doro only here to end of season as wants SL place. got potential though. hopefully can force way in team more during the summer. Читать дальше...
I've been around banking and financial firms in UK and Australia. I've seen ruthless performers in action.
AP needs to be ruthless here. I also believe that after all this time AP is the main reason.
Don't resign any of the 20 until we have to late in the season. However, I would let 15 go and I've said who.
Absolute abject effort can't be rewarded with job security. That's sport business 101.
So let 15 go and bring in 7 of the youth, who WILL NOT let us down (D Litten !!!!!). Then the other 8 from NRL/SL and the Champs. Читать дальше...

Yes, we could play at a second or third tier Rugby Union venue but what is the long term option for that? We could have played at a non-league football club in recent years with the low numbers coming through the gates due to a mixture of Covid and poor displays on the field. But once again, where do we go from there in 5 years time?

A great watch, worked with quite a few of the Donny team (including Gaz Ellis dad and uncle) who are still doing well. My brother in the Fev team but oh how you could do with a Huyton in the league.

The Saints and Wigan are not important.
We need to manage our pack better than we have this last 4/5 weeks.
We need to be going in to a semi final with a full complement of props….
Then we manage selections again ahead of the final.
We cannot afford to go into those 2 games as we have the last 2, and would have next week, but for the international.
