Wakefield Trinity • Stadium and other issues

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I went past several times today and there was plenty of activity in the North stand. From the very brief glimpses through the main gates that I got whilst driving past, I got the impression that the lower North terracing may have been completed but I could be wrong ??

I like him but not sure he's top super league level so think he'll use Golding more often.

Wakefield Trinity • Lewis Murphy & Other Young Home Grown Players

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I think with the story regarding Lewis Murphy, just highlights a problem we have with the sport in our country at the moment. It is said that the minimum for a player in the NRL is around £90k, that is probably about quadruple what he is currently on at Wakefield, and in reality, it's too big to turn down really. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't expect us to match it, but would think that, as a regular, his contract should be a little more in line with other regulars.

He's probably not the only one in this position... Читать дальше...

London Broncos • Re: Off Season Recruitment - By The Month

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

The memory cheats but in our last season as a full time team we announced squad numbers on New Years Eve, over the course of a couple of hours and announced a number of new signings. Those days have gone.
This season we appear to have recruited decent quality but not in volume. The amount that have gone through the exit door though is a huge number which pretty much tells you how successful the brave new dawn was. This year we really do need to make progress. Let’s see how it goes. I’m confident... Читать дальше...

That doesn't make anything clear "Hub" (please stick to that) to me.

Selling 600 lots of £500 is massive if that's what we've done.....but you keep saying 'if', which doesn't make it clear.
And the certificate number of 307,500 at a penny a share doesn't match up.

Better to wait for the official answer, whether through you from the club or direct from the club rather than speculating.

any terracing done on the east stand yet?

Dunno I went past the ground this afternoon and lots of activity or so it seemed in the North East corner of the new stand with scaffolding in place at the northern edge

One of the kids has the home shirt and it's lovely. The 3rd is the worse I've ever seen. Eclipsing the 1998 Rhinos shirt amd the festive challenge monstrosities

Bradford Bulls • Odsal redevelopment - another one bites the dust

Only option RE:Odsal is sell it for clean landfill pull Dunnies down dump it in the hole and then build a 14k seater stadium ala LSV over the road.
Either that or bring in an investment group with naming rights to the new Odsal stadium where it stands.
Which I don't think either Nige or Hirsty have the contacts or Knowledge to do, CAP in hand to the council was their plan.
Maybe now its cap in hand to Caddick?
Said it before though no stadium no Super League... Читать дальше...

I reckon if Tetavano performs like he did last year I`d be comfortable knowing we haven either Holroyd or Walters chomping at the bit.

A right storm in a teacup ,by not excepting a enhanced contract the writing was always on the wall that he was out of Belle Vue sooner rather than later , if we could have do we break the bank for him , imo absolutely no as that sets a precedent to all the others that follow, and that would be disastrous financially for most clubs .As good as Murph is it takes a team to win games and I’d much rather have that spread of quality across the field instead of pinning our hope on individuals . Doncaster RLFC • In it together - Carl Hall

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Caught this on YouTube last evening, it is yet to appear elsewhere at the time of me scribing this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fb-Dj_An1kU

What i found fascinating was the explanation surrounding the access to the Executive area and the reason behind the payment for such access (done to death on here I appreciate) I was not aware that such a corporate requirement was part of the IMG findings during the whole new look into the future of the game sanctioned by the RFL. If this... Читать дальше...

Late but handy signing. As everybody appears fit currently his late arrival shouldn't be an issue. Was an Interchange in the opening World Cup match and starting Second Row (a position of need) v Wales. Don't believe he played in the middle Group match nor Quarter Final. Looking at some of the other Championship line-ups we aren't as many players short as I thought. Problem is I have no idea of the quality of most of those players on the other teams. Warrington Wolves • Re: Which player do you expect big things from this season?

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

George Williams..behind a beefed up pack that should be able to supply a better platform for him to operate behind...and alongside an experienced half back who should relieve some of the pressure that has been on him since he's been with us.... George needs to replicate his World Cup form for us on a regular, consistent basis. He should be one of the best attacking players in the league...expecting big things from him this year.
