Pretty much this.

For me, it's a game that we, the English, seem to place much more importance on than the Aussies have ever have, or ever will.

From what we see of the Aussie league, are we really expected to believe, even if they somehow manage a win, that Saints are the best RL club side in the world?

They already are if you read redvee.

Perhaps an alternative outcome could be a free punch on the chin of the offender by the offended party then matter closed.

Wigan Warriors can confirm that both Junior Nsemba and Jacob Douglas have joined Whitehaven on one-month loan deals.

Two tries for Douglas, one great finish in the corner, one an 80m break.

Nsemba scored Havens other try.

Our kicking game remains poor and we are crying out for an experienced half back, that was a very poor whitehaven team, I would be really worried tonight if I was one of their supporters, but I'm not ! Billy Leyland did well off the bench (grabbed our 3rd try from dummy half) and Wigan's youngsters put in a good shift. We bombed at least 2 tries and made it difficult for ourselves but at it's a better feeling travelling home tonight than the previous 2 trips to Haven. Читать дальше...

On the plus side merch is now available on the website. On the down side it’s a leap of faith as it’s difficult to see quite what you are buying.

Had a look at the stuff on sale at the Batley game and can't say I was overly impressed. Didn't look particularly good quality, pretty boring designs and over priced. Let's hope we come out with some other stuff during the course of the season.

End of the day it’s rugby league, it’s a hard sport played by hard competitive people who will try their best to be their opposite number and if it means saying some nasty words to them then it happens. What are we going to have 26 priests playing against each other every week? Get a grip.

Yeah 100%, Powell has made the right choice with Riley. As he won't displace Williams or Drinkwater. And i forgot about the recall option so this is a win win for us and him

If we're winning games, I really couldn't care less about who's captain.
Of course if we're struggling, I'm sure it will be heavily scrutinised....

The match should be a good comparison between the game and teams in north and south hemispheres. Hope the Saints team wins, however, can we endure the Saints speccies ongoing crowing about their wonder team. Doubt it...

Bradford Bulls • How are we going to do?

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Our weaknesses last year were getting bullied in the forwards, especially at Odsal, lack of creativity in the halves, lack of threat from FB and a perceived lack of intensity/enthusiasm.
I think we’ve fixed all those. From the first round, Fev and Toulouse still seem head and shoulders above everyone so it’ll be interesting to see how close to them we can get

The Virtual Terrace • Looking back on the SL era

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

As SL comes to an end over the next couple of years, in name at least, how successful a time do you think it has been for the sport? Are we in a better or worse place than when it began? It is just shy of a quarter of the sport’s entire history now!

What lessons need to learned, either to be carried forward or to try to improve and strengthen the game?

At the risk of jinxing this, I'm surprised how easily a lot of Fev fans think they will win this game. I saw a comment on FB last night about them been more worried about Keighley than they are about us. Now personally I do think they will have a bit too much for us and their team on paper is very strong but I don't see as big a difference between them and us this year as I did last year and to me they are more a solid and dependable team rather than spectacular. Langi over Hall ?
Hall was stand out last season and certainly deserves a spot.
Mind you, we shouldn't be signing overseas players to have them sat in the stands.
Having said that, if he doesn't play in the centre, where should he play, at 13 ?

That’s the only issue where to play him. Hall and Langi would be my centres. Langi is a Centre but seemed to go ok at 13 so I suppose that’s an option.

Not sure to be honest, we have a couple out but the starting 1-7 is Brierley, Sio, Cross, Lafai. Burgess, Croft and Syned. I think Sarge is missing currently.
