Warrington Wolves • Wire vs N Wales Crusaders

I can't really remember, but is Russell actually very fast?

I can remember his upper body strength near the line, and his strong kick returns. My big worry is his tackling and his defending kicks behind him. But that's based on 2014-2017, and I can't honestly say I paid much attention to him when he was at Toronto or Toulouse.

I'm not bothered who wins. When it's Wigan, I always want the NRL team to win.

I occasionally read other independent RL forums as well as keeping updated on here. Was amazed to read about the new additions to your Board of Directors, You really have some serious investors cum business men on board now. Looks like HKR have some huge finance behind them at the moment and some extremely impressive plans to not only update your stadium and also new builds around the ground as well as serious developments on the ground purchased surrounding the stadium. Wigan Warriors • Re: League table predictions

1. Wigan
2. Leeds
3. St. Helens
4. Salford
5. Huddersfield
6. Catalans
7. Warrington
8. Hull FC
9. Hull KR
10. Castleford
11. Wakefield
12. Leigh

Wakey scrape it again by beating us at Belle Vue for a change. It's very easy to forget just how impressive Salford have been over the last few seasons. It's no fluke and they look to have improved again. Just wish the fans would turn out for them. Leigh will be a damp squib. The Hull teams... meh, Catalas customary drop off about September... Is there a Poundshop in Wimbledon?

Suspect not but I really wouldn’t be surprised if there is one in Tooting Broadway. I wonder if we only spread our net one mile to right of the ground and not looked one mile to left. Not easy is it but all a bit worrying.

Nothing surprising or very interesting will happen on the pitch. It’s like a game of Monopoly that has carried on even though somebody owns all the properties and hotels and has all the money. Everybody else just keeps rolling the dice and moving around the board out of habit.

Don't be surprised if both Hull clubs rekindle your enthusiasm in 2023.

Wakefield Trinity • Stadium and other issues

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Just got back from the Reserves game. The upper North Stand is spot on, simple but just what we needed. Looks very tidy.

The lower tier by comparison is abysmal. Never really noticed how poor the terracing is, and doesn't look even at any point.

The West Terrace is improved dramatically by moving the dugouts, and if we could get those awful boxes down and run the covered Stand all the way down it wouldn't be too bad at all. Obviously it'd need a bit more elevation, but doesn't seem as bad as it did watching the Halifax game. Читать дальше...

Eccles in pre match interview:

“We feel much better for last week’s game against Batley,” said Eccles. “We feel a bit more battle hardened and ready to go."

Agreed. And even after the first few rounds. We all know too well that the emphasis in Super League is how you build during the year. You get now prozws for smashing teams out of the water... Читать дальше...

Wakefield Trinity • Re: New Shirt

I'm not too keen on this one. Find it a little bit drab. However I think we'd set the bar pretty high with the home and away shirts so it was never going to be as nice as those two.

Wakefield Trinity • Re: Wakefield Trinity Vs Catalan Dragons

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Lineham and Murphy for me, as both have a lot to prove, which is what you want from your players. Murphy needs to show the NRL that he is a contender, not someone they are going to shove out to some country side until he improves. For Lineham, at his age, probably make or break for the end of his career, and he's bigging himself up a lot.

Langi and Lynne in the centres for the defence. In the pack, just need the ones who don't mind mixing it. Catalans have always had a big, dirty pack. But, they don't like the cold months. Читать дальше...

My mistake, I apologise. I thought because you had listed Greenwood you were hinting that a player could be guilty even though it had not been proven in a court of law.

Warrington Wolves • Saints v St George / WCC

I make no apologies for discussing Saints, rather than speculating what brand of washing up liquid to wash you kiss your mum with that mouth McGuire's cakehole out with.

They look pretty good v St George, excellent in the first 20. Still very reliant on Walmsley and Hurrel still a defensive liability but their pre-season billing as SL favourites looks fair.

Will be interesting to see if they can repeat the intensity for the WCC next week. The age old, justified argument being Englsh clubs couldn't cope with NRL levels week in... Читать дальше...

Leeds Rhinos • Re: Season ticket 'buy back'

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I can't help as I have no idea!

We have South Stand seating tickets and one season we fancied switching into the newly built North Stand for a game.

I rang the club and enquired and they said we would have to give up our season ticket seats for the game, which was obvious, the club then said we'd have to buy a full priced ticket for the North Stand and they'd sell out Season ticket seats at full price too

Good old Uncle Gary!!!!

Warrington Wolves • Re: Josh McGuire potential ban

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I’ve no really issue about this…
I welcome it.

Not because I have an opinion on what was said, I couldn’t really careless.
My reason is far more long term and selfishly Wire.

To win a SL you need 2 packs…we have that, and no other club in SL does. We’ve lost 3 forwards and it’ll make not a jot of difference when we beat Leeds.

I hope this ruling is applied throughout the season, because players are thick and few clubs will have the back up to ride out 6-8 games a player short. Читать дальше...
