Yes, I don't think anyone would disagree with that.

Doncaster RLFC • Dons vs Hunslet Sunday 19th February 2023 3pm

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Well I have got my early bird ticket bought online.
The bugger has gone from £11 to £12 to £13 in the space of a few seasons.
This is my look see at the Dons....I need to be impressed or I won't rush back.
Hunslet are usually a problem for us early in the season and we are usually half asleep....so have been duffed up in the recent past.
It's been like groundhog day in this league since 2015...

I’m not saying it’s fine because it’s a hard sport I’m saying it happens in the heat of the moment, nasty things are said that the person saying them won’t really mean. If someone called it me on a rugby pitch it would just mean I’d try to tackle them harder, I wouldn’t want them banned. However if it was used towards a PDRL player by an able bodied player then a whopping great big ban would be suffice.

Weirdly, mcguire actually qualifies to play pdrl! And to be fair to him... Читать дальше...

Wakefield Trinity • Stadium and other issues

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I attended a function at BV this afternoon, and can report that one section of the terrace girders have been filled with what appeared to be concrete terracing. There is also brickwork being done at various locations around the stand, also the Steel framework just above the terrace girders are now being fitted with panels (possibly pre cast concrete). I could see working being done with barriers fitted inside the North Stand, but the barrier along the extreme rear of new terrace doesn’t seem to have been extended since the last photos on here. Boringly predictable that it would be lost early on in the forwards.Springer leading the way.....not good enough for us according to Grix....not a game for Maher too according to the coach...why the **** sign him then ? Final score line flattered us.Need to recruit more power to have any hope of promotion.

I completely agree with this.

You’d have to have be living on mars to not have seen or heard of the westerman alleyway incident . I’d say the silly man will be lucky to keep his job in the light of the media frenzy over this . Imagine running out at hull in their first game and the grief he’ll get from the away fans . Feel for his Family at this time especially his daughter who has pleaded with the media to take down the images , and also his wife who says that is definitely not her in the video. Absolute imbecile

When Smith got lazy/disheartened towards the end I think he saw Russell as pivotal to scooting for metres that made up the entirety of our attacking plan - we were absolutely horrible to watch then.

Wakefield Trinity • Wakefield Trinity Vs Catalan Dragons

Our record at home against Catalans isn't bad.

They do have some key players missing.

I actually fancy us in this one, to come away with a narrow win

Wigan Warriors • Re: Moose McGuire

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I was at the game & i personally don't know what was allegedly said but the whole sending off was surreal. Something has so called happened or been said when Ben Currie scored his try but McGuire was only sent off when the ref & teams returned to the centre spot so it is actually unclear what he was sent off for....something said during the try scoring or something said to the ref at the centre spot. McGuire didn't argue at all & left the field quickly.

That was always going to be a problem to be fair. If only there was a big break in the middle of the season that would've given a new manager a month to work with the team

If he get 6 games that’s a big blow for Powell.

Signing those 4 power forwards in McGuire, Vaughan, Dudson and Kasiano is an interesting gamble . I think McGuire will still have a real desire to compete, how much he has left in the tank, who knows.
If Vaughan really wants it he could be a standout as he has a lot to offer.
Discipline will also be key and both Vaughan and McGuire will have to adapt or risk missing most of the year.

Huddersfield Giants • IMPORTANT - LEGENDS BAR

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Following feedback from our members and subsequent discussion by the committee it has been decided that the Legends Bar will revert back to being HGSA members ONLY on match days.

We accept this will not be to everybody’s agreement but as we were originally a members only bar we have listened to what could make the experience better for them and acted upon this.

The bar will still be open and available to all supporters BUT you must either hold a valid 2023 membership card or purchase a membership on the door... Читать дальше...

Saints have the advantage in terms of personnel from last year to this, with them being stronger than the 2022 GF, whereas Penrith have lost a couple of massive players in Kikau and Koroisau and have Martin missing as well. Looking at the warm up game on Saturday, we’ll need to find out if Saints played at that lightning pace for 15-20 and purposefully eased up or if that was just a... Читать дальше...

I'd be very surprised if Westerman isn't stood down and suspended with immediate affect pending their own investigation. Not seen the video myself nor do I want to but spoke to someone who has and they've said it's pretty damning.
