Infinity Pool

I´ve not really watched any films for a couple of weeks and this was a bizarre welcome back from the celluloid gods. Reminded me of one of those trippy arthouse films of the late 80´s and early 90´s but much better acted and with far superior cinematography. There is no denying that it is absolutely bonkers, but beautifully shot and very well acted especially by Alexander Skarsgard and Mia Goth.

It´s very unsettling, very unnerving and very disturbing. Not one for the... Читать дальше...

Lose to Everton and Elland Road will be be unbelievable toxic at that Southampton game.
I've defended the board in the past, but all the credit in the bank has gone. This has to work immediately

I am sure Grant will be consistent, consistently biased.

I hope there’s no howlers against us again like last week. Swift scoring with a foot clearly well in touch seconds before. Last year Salford try where Burgess has a whole leg over 2ft in touch.

It’s a new season. I’m willing to give refs a clean sheet. I thought James Child was a poor ref... Читать дальше...

Leeds Rhinos • SL RD 1 | Warrington Wolves (A)

Personally, I'd go with:-

1. Myler
2. Fussy
3. McDonnell (albeit never seen him play)
4. Handley
5. Olpherts
6. Austin
7. Sezer
8. Holroyd
9. Leeming
10. Tetevano (I'd have Walters ahead of Tetevano but know there is no chance of that)
11. Gannon
12. Martin
13. Smith

14. O'Connor
15. Lisone
16. Walters (prop / 2nd row cover)
17. Sangare

Smith has mentioned Olpherts in the centres a lot and thus, I suspect he will be centre. Likewise... Читать дальше...

Cheers. That's all I needed.

As my ticket is South Stand Terrace, I'd be looking at a sell out game to get a buy back credit I guess. And those are the games I wouldn't want to miss anyway.

They looked gassed rather than uninterested, which if you've been asking the opposition to attack you continually for 35minutes, that's to be expected.

I think Rovers and Cas will be higher placed, possibly even than us. They have depth, whereas we are short of backrow options if injuries bite.

I think outside the top 2 there'll be a few clubs tightly packed together this season between ourselves, Wire, Rovers, Cas, Leeds, Salford and possibly Catalan. Huddersfield could either be more the top challenger to the likes of St's & Wigan or could easily be another fighting from 3rd to 6th place.

I see we are slight underdogs on Friday.

Looking at random options, Fusitua is 50/1 for man of steel with Liam Sutcliffe at 66/1.

I’m drawn a bit towards Jake Clifford at FC at 20/1.

To my eternal shame I’ve had a dabble on Saints at 22/1 to do the treble to send Roby on his way. I’ll be happy to lose the money but I think they have a sniff this year.

Leeds Rhinos • Re: SL RD 1 | Warrington Wolves (A)

Very quiet on here with the squad announced for Thurs. Probably Roberts, Tindall, Ruan and Mcdonnell to drop out. Fancy Smith will start Martin and Olpherts (though Roberts has gone well) at centre with Tetevano/Walters and Gannon back row with all 5 'Props' in the 17. Tough going with 4 starters out, but I'm intrigued as to what glimpses of Smiths style for the year that we will see.

Doubt McGuire will play, but for him to be included in the squad means there’s maybe more to this than we know. Interesting that the club haven’t actually disciplined him too, which I’m sure they’d be straight on to if it was a straightforward case of unacceptable conduct.

I guess we’ll see.

London Broncos • Oh no not again?

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Ealing with a full time team was always going to be better than Plough Lane and part time. I would have thought using Ealing as our out ground would have been a better option than Ebbsfleet too. I guess it's all about having a super league standard ground, but if you haven't got the team where does it get you? If Skolars ever re- developed New River they could be a serious contender. I read that Haringey offered the site to the RL if they committed to build a 10k capacity stadium about a decade ago. Читать дальше...

Well we are back, and in what makes a pleasant change for a season opener, we welcome Leeds to 'fortress' Halliwell Jones in our first SL Game of the 23 season.

I'm sure there'll be an air of expectation on both sides of the Pennines, who'll come out on top Powell or Smith, who's recruits will lift their team from last season's mediocrity and will Don the southern Rhino make the Last train to Clarkesville (Chester)?

You decide and good luck. I will be giving the points scoring distribution... Читать дальше...

Bradford Bulls • Widnes (H)

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Is this a must win? I know it's only round 3 but with Toulouse and Featherstone after this, a loss here would be 1 win in 5. I don't think we'd recover from that. No Gilmore or Johnstone for Widnes, two of their best players so no excuses from us. Expect Walker to have a stormer!

Some big calls from Dunning of who to play at 1, 6, 7, 9.
