I think they are, probably justifiably, concerned that this team won’t get the credit or be remembered in the way they deserve.

I'm sure they will. No one is denying how great a team they currently are, and the trophy cabinet proves their success. Their outstanding achievements will be remembered for a long time, especially the way the Saints fans like to remind everyone.

They will undoubtedly be spoken about for decades to come the way the Widnes team of the late 70's... Читать дальше...

Shout out to Bradford with the 5th largest crowd of the weekend in all divisions. 4800 despite how gash we are, is comforting.

That's undeniably a decent crowd for a Championship side, but I suspect they would be sixth largest crowd if Trinity did not have a reduced capacity due to only having half a stadium, and seventh if it also wasnt WCC weekend. I'm led to believe that the home allocation were sold out at Wakefield.

Can anyone confirm that Belle Vue is limited to 4,000 at the minute? Читать дальше...

Don't know if it's an attitude thing or what, but we've definitely seen the best of him.

Yeah he's definitely too big, he's a well built bloke so hes never going to be a flyer, but there's too much bulk there, he was caught at marker for our 2nd try because he couldn't turn to get Dwyer fast enough.

Wigan Warriors • Squad for HKR Saturday

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

How we use our prop rotation going forward will be interesting. Aside from Mago, we have 5 lads there capable of doing big minutes and I think sometimes we’re running with too many in the 17. If Mago is in the 17, I get going with 5 but If not, I think it should be 4.

I look at Ellis on Saturday and he gets about 20 minutes in the second half. The lad looks as fit as a fiddle and I just don’t see him as the sort of prop who will make a major impact one 20 minute spell. I’d like to see guys... Читать дальше...

Leigh Leopards • Re: Leigh v Salford Game

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I agree with a lot of the above as regards position switches, if only to try something out.

Overall I'm not overly disappointed, in some aspects I might view it as two points dropped but I think the winds weren't entirely fair.

I think the result was a forgone conclusion as they scored two quick back to backs right at the end of the first half, and I think if it wasn't for the hooter we would have been on the end of a few more.

A word on Charnley, bar his unfortunate error, which... Читать дальше...

Wakefield Trinity • A Great Weekend for Super League

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

A Great Weekend for Super League
It´s been a fantastic, almost unparalleled, weekend for Super League.

A Super League side was crowned best in the world after they went down under and against all the odds and predictions beat the mighty Penrith Panthers in the World Club Challenge with a sensational drop goal in Golden Point extra time win.

Crowds were up for the opening weekend with tremendous turnouts at Warrington, Hull KR, Hull FC and Leigh Leopards with some great games for them to enjoy. Читать дальше...

Bradford Bulls • Toulouse (H)

Would be a major upset to get anything out of this. Walker, Thompson and Matongo definitely out injured. Not sure when Scurr's ban is over, he got 8 matches after the Widnes game but not sure if the friendlies against Dewsbury, Leeds and Workington will count toward it. Either way he's still out.

Would be hoping to see us give a good defensive display and try not to let the score blow out. If we can sort out the discipline, line speed and errors we ought to be able to avoid embarrassment hopefully. Читать дальше...

The mistakes by Murphy and Smith led directly to tries.

It's a team game and the team holds responsibility subility so none need to be blamed, but if you are trying to pick one out, it isn't Lyne

Sorry but we will agree to disagree on this. We were coming on strong and Catalans were well on the back foot on their line. Читать дальше...

With us conceding five tries against Johnstone and Davies, we will need to be massively improved in attitude and enthusiasm otherwise same again with Field and French to nullify. If we don’t have team changes, it would be very odd.

Sort the edges out and work on kicks to finish sets and we will see improvement.

Murphy Langi Hall Taufua for this one maybe

We've got to go with a big bench against Leeds because they are so soft up the guts. The ease Warrington got a roll on against them was crazy and on the other side of the ball, Leeds couldn't make any yardage in exit sets.

Same starting 13 but with a bench of Sao, Evans, Brown & Joey for me, can't see Dre playing this week either.

Can't argue with that as Leeds look like they may well be bullied out of a lot of games as like you say they look very soft in the middle. Читать дальше...

Another tough test to come at Headlingley with short turn around, as although Leeds were poor against Warrington I can't see them being as bad for their home opener and we will no doubt face a side that wants redress their last performance.

Hopefully we will have Sao and Savelio back and also include Brown in the 17 and not run with both Lovodua & Houghton on the bench again if Dwyer starts (which he should).

Bl00dy hell, Charlie!! You're talking £50 a game with a few drinks and a pie. I used to go to Leigh Miners or Leigh East prior to game for drinks and food. The pre-match entertainment is definitely bumping the cost of support up. Has Leigh suddenly become a land of millionaires? They're going to kill the support off with these prices. Читать дальше...

Smith On Humberside said pre game that he would accept the group competing as a successful season. He is either trying to nullify any preassure on the players from outrageous predictions or he has seen enough to know this squad isn't destined for great things. Unfortunately I think it is the latter and I guess us as supporters would accept the team just having a go and not getting hammered.

Post match he admitted he got a few things wrong but it is a concern we are hearing the word Lazy again... Читать дальше...

Scoreline was closer than last year, so that's a plus. I hope we can hang on to the wigan youngsters and maybe add a few more, because looking at our squad, we are really light on numbers.
On the Eccles and "right culture" comments....sigh.....what were the club actually doing in October, November, December and January? I take it that some staff continued to be paid, but what for? We've recruited very few, didn't get the new coaches, have struggled to find a proper sponsor and the only "achievement'... Читать дальше...
