Wakefield Trinity • Shares for sale in Trinity?

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Isn't that email just for shareholders and therefore the same for the teams link?

Based on this bit: "We will not be recording the meeting. We feel this will help everyone speak more freely and preserve the confidentiality of such a shareholders’ gathering"

Well I've just been on to Wiggin's website again to double check and I can buy an over 60s for £19 and a child's for £12 but would say that is expensive for a child. Wiggin are, unfortunately, a much bigger club than Leigh. I did go onto every clubs website to check prices. We are the most expensive along with Leeds. I couldn't check Wakey's as their ticket page wasn't functioning but at least they have a website. Читать дальше...

Leeds Rhinos • Captain for 2023

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Leadership groups aren’t uncommon. I’d say out of the current crop only really Martin strikes me as a single captain like type.

Comparisons to Kev and that group should be avoided on two fronts. Kev was obviously one of a kind and even he was surrounded by other leaders.

So nobody has Houghton in the 17 ?? Can't see that happening.

Fingers crossed for Joe Cator, he was great before his injuries, loads of enthusiasm & decent pace. To me a better version of Ellis Longstaff, stronger & more experienced. Think he is OOC this year so hope he is back to his best.

Great to have such a squad available, should allow those carrying knocks to miss a week rather than turning out at 80%. Good young forwards in the wings - best crop I can remember for a while. Читать дальше...

Wakefield Trinity • RW&BA Facebook Prediction Competition

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Hi,

For those that don't venture to the Facebook Group, the Weekly Prediction Competition Registration is now open. £10 to enter with a range of monthly and season prizes all related to Trinity. There will also be a Challenge Cup style Knockout Competition with a prize to the winner as well.

No need for payment right this very second, just a registration commitment so that I can budget what prizes we can offer with the prize fund.

If you want to take part each week, the form... Читать дальше...

If Dudson, and possibly McGuire, are out for Leeds game then Bullock must come into the frame. The fact that Thewlis is playing maybe hints that Russell will get the nod against Leeds?

Thats 12 weeks without a home game (I don't count Ebbslefleet as home games). Remind me again if any other club who shares with a football club also has 12 weeks gap in the middle of the season

York has a 4 week gap at the end of May, the beginning of June, which may or may not be for pitch work & Doncaster has about the same a little later.

On the current fixture list, Wigan also has a 4 week period from the end of May to late June.

Leeds Rhinos • Re: OUT 2023 | Levi Edwards - York City Knights

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I wonder how much of this is down to Rohan publicly saying that 18/19 year olds shouldn't be playing SL? He might be right, but if you're a player in that position, you probably don't want to hang around for another 3 years to play regularly, when you can do so at another club...

Seems strange, given a loan would have shown in a years time whether he'll be up for it or not.

Warrington Wolves • Wire TV

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I enjoy watching Wire TV. But I miss the commentary (especially to recognise opposition players) & the clock. I like being able to rewind.
re. Leigh game:
Our defence was dreadful for the Leigh tries.
Drinkwater had a very quiet game (too quiet for me) ... though he spent a lot of time talking & organising.
Kasiano looked immense on his short time on the field.
Ratchford took his try well, it was far from easy.
Couldn't make head nor tails of what happened with Maguire. Читать дальше...

Leeds Rhinos • OUT 2023 | Levi Edwards - York City Knights

Surprised me this one as the lad is highly rated at the club. I expect that we have a first refusal for him if he is to come to back to SL. Good luck to him!

Riley going to fev is MASSIVE for his development, he'll play week in week out against high quality opposition. So the experience he will gain will be huge compared to playing in the reserves a handful of times a year.

Plus he's still training with us full time and we have a recall option, great for club and player I think.

Our fixture list is pretty ridiculous. We play Barrow at Cherry Red on 13-May and then are not back there again until 30-Jul against York.

Its not just that. Sure he won MOS last season, but only actually played any good for 2 months. He will be a one season wonder that is tied down for 7 years on marquee money (at least £175k a year).

Leeds Rhinos • Re: Transfer Talk / Rumour thread V4

A gamble but a good one for Salford. Should guarantee a big payout if another club wants him, and in the meantime he's one of the best halfbacks in SL. So long as they have injury insurance I don't see much of a downside unless he decides to cruise for the rest of his career.

Halifax Panthers • Re: Round 2. Featherstone v Halifax

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Difficult to assess where we’re at in terms of competing with fev after the opening games of both teams . We played reasonably well in patches against Sheffield but we’re defensively susceptible in our goal line defence . Fev battered a newly promoted keighley who as of yet are an unknown quantity. We had some close battles with fev last year but ultimately lost all three . Have we improved more than them in that time , at the moment I expect not so my prediction is a loss by 12 to 18 points .
