Wakefield Trinity • Re: Proctor.

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

The only unknown is how dedicated he is. Although he is a more solid player than Fifita, he's a bit of a wildcard off it, it would seem. I used to wonder whether his conduct was because he was at the Gold Coast so never expected to win anything, so focussed on enjoyment. We are similar.

Having said that, a happy Kevin Proctor should be a good Kevin Proctor, so maybe one of those players who have to be given a bit of slack to get the best from them.

Although nothing to do with how we might allocate seats for away fans at present,I remember many years ago in one particular match against Pies when many members' seats in the east stand were hijacked en bloc and handed over to their fans.We were not amused, as well you can imagine.

I remember it well. My seat was one of them.

Just listened to the mark dunning interview, he says Halifax enabled the joe Arundel transfer by paying him off to leave , seems Grix really wasn’t happy with him .

Wakefield Trinity • Looking At Football Teams To Move In

The only option is Wakefield AFC and always has been, sorry but I think Ossett town has zero potential.

It all depends how serious the new owner is, a Brazilian multi-millionaire I'm told.

I believe he'd prefer a new ground just for them, but I also believe he's rapidly realising how hard that is in the UK.

A five year lease to start with is the most likely option and I think he knows it, and Wakefield rather than Featherstone is where they need to be. Читать дальше...

Wigan Warriors • Pricing/marketing

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Pretty sure this is one of those off season topics that we get every single season.

A ST presumes you will attend every game. If you do, then you can pay a max of £350 saving you £40 (or £3 a game). You then get discount in the club shop and a Magic ticket for half the price. Whilst it sounds a lot, you don't have to pay up front and can pay each month and get the exact same benefits. Buy it early and you save £7 a game.

Now if you pick and choose, or you can't make every game then you still get the chance to save. Читать дальше...

Briefly looking through various forums and rugby league related sites i cannot find many teams who have had warm weather training this preseason to date. I think only Hull KR and Huddersfield Giants are the only confirmed ones i can find. Surprised because i thought Wigan and Leeds usually arrange ones, and i suppose Saints will be using the WCC as their late one this year.

Interested to here how many RL sides share their facilities with soccer teams and whether fans think it is detrimental to their pitch and is the extra revenue worth it. Not sure where Huddersfield, Wigan and Hull stand regards sharing (and at the present time it doesn't look like the following will be troubling any clubs) but didn't the Premier League draw up plans previously that no Premier League team would be allowed to share their pitch with any other sport, or was the recommendation ever passed ? Leigh Leopards • Re: Is the rebrand in order to sell on as a franchise?

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

While the question may linger in DB's motive regards Leigh's rebrand it must be remembered that Super League clubs were asked a couple of years ago to update/upgrade their rebrands and IIRC quite a few have (quite successfully i believe) and others are still in the process of doing so.

He posted on his socials saying his goodbyes to family and friends one day earlier this week, so i assume hes back in the UK now. Probably start back training on Monday next week. No Jackson Hastings like sagas with this fella thankfully.

Wakefield Trinity • Re: Stadium and other issues

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

The seating area of the new stand will be a much different experience to the old one, and of course is the best option for those who prefer to sit alongside the sides (I prefer a side view to being behind the posts - was always a West Stand person rather than the North, when that was an option). I expect there to be much more takers for the seats than there were previously.

It is very good for families too, as they can sit alongside their children. At the moment, the options are to dump them at the front and you go there too... Читать дальше...

The Virtual Terrace • Test Series 2023

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

As predictable as the rise of the sun each day, it seems England still don't know who if anyone they will play next Autmun.

Australia and NZ dont want to come, I can only hope Samoa or Tonga can be lured over. All those new fans who attended the WC games at Newcastle, Sheffield and Arsenal risk being lost.

The alternative is even worse, England replace England Knights in the European Nations Cup and rack up big scores.

With some players it's not all about money. The likes of Saints and Wigan offer a player a good chance of winning cups/titles. Sometimes this is as much, if not more of a draw.

Shows how strong he is mentally. To lose 8 major title finals then come back to wing World Match Play, World Championship and become World No. 1 all within a couple of months. Unbelievable. Not only that but to win the greatest single leg of all time, WOW. Well done Bully Boy, you deserve it.

Wakefield Trinity • Sam Obst interview

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Anyone go to the Sam Obst podcast thing tonight.it was really good.
Interesting to listen to Obst as he's clearly an intelligent guy who can talk well. The part where he talked about Adam and Leon was quite moving.

But also Mash came in for the second half of the interview. I wasn't impressed with what happened to Poching but that's the sporting life as a coach, but listening to Mash talk for an hour, I think we are in good hands. I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do with this team. Читать дальше...
