Delightful with ball in hand, seam to remember him tearing saints apart at their place in the first half. Only to witness us conceding a hefty lead in the second half.

How hard was Joe Price? Having read a couple of comments on here, glad i never walked into him down the snooker hall stand on the way to the away end at Wilderspool

On a serious note though i used to play golf with a guy called Len McIntyre. He was an ex Wigan / Oldham and GB Hooker (to be honest he also played for Wire and Saints too but never mentioned that when we spoke about RL)

Anyone listen to any decent RL podcasts?

Found a few decent NRL pods like Bloke in a bar and James Graham's but struggling to find a good SL one.

Don't mind listening to fanzine style one either. I give the LOT pod and What would Brian Bevan say? A go.

I need something to fill the work commutes and dog walking

Coverage of RL is minimal nowadays in the UK National Newspapers, unless there is some news that is in anyway negative towards the sport.

The sport used to get a reasonable allocation until the Northern Editions of various newspapers were discontinued and were moved to London.

I also watched the Full 80 minutes yesterday to see if there were any updates but it's just Craig talking over people and then talking himself into a hole, I can't watch it anymore.

Show Me The Money Craig and Den Perry from Phoenix Nights are the same person.

I didn’t see who made that comment, perhaps someone did have a quiet word with the person after the meeting. If it was anyone on here, perhaps they could tell us how they got it wrong.

The guy was sat a few seats from me. Seemed quite insistent it was Leeds and not Cas.

Getting, and keeping, Newman, Fusitua and McDonald fit is crucial. If they play in the majority of games they could bag 50 tries between them. I've got tremendous respect for Wigan as a club but I'm not convinced that they will improve this year. Bateman is a loss no matter what anybody says and while young Wardle could be very good, King is pretty average in my book. Not aware that they have players returning from injury (like Newman and Holroyd) who could have a transformational impact. Читать дальше...

Leeds Rhinos • Re: Transfer Talk / Rumour thread V4

We need to get Holroyd out there. Tindall will, I imagine, cover a few times along with such as McDonnell who can cover centre or 2nd row. Newman badly needs a good run of games and will feature providing he's fit. If Johnson's a keeper then he needs more game time than just covering the occasional short term injury or suspension.

I seem to remember a time when Trinity did allocate away fans the North wing of East Stand, but somehow that didn’t last long, and away fans were sold tickets with the advice sit anywhere, but not to sit in reserved (named) seats. That advice wasn’t always. followed.

Warrington Wolves • The annual ‘how will 2022/23 SL finish the regular season’

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Not many non-Wire fans would have us higher than 6th (or too many Wire fans for that matter). There’s an expectation that we can’t be as bad as last season but also a feeling that Powel is yesterday’s man.
In predicting the 2023 table you need to look at last season and ask yourself, club by club, what has changed?

Despite a change in head coach Saints remain the team to beat. The appointment of Wello isn’t going to be a repeat of what happened with Cunningham. Wellens has had a few... Читать дальше...

The fact you haven't mentioned Brown shows how much you watch Hull. Should be the first one renewed as potential to be a top SL forward for the next 10 years.

Yes that is what it will be. I had forgot about that. Good to know we haven’t begun discounting before the season starts even the most pessimistic wouldn’t have seen that coming. Now we have to hope there will be some announcement re on and off field personnel. As it stands we appear to have a smaller squad than last year with a significant... Читать дальше...
