I think expectations have been managed by the last 12 months. I’m not sure it could get worse, so this years intake have a free hit.

Warrington Wolves • Jon Clarke released from RU set up

According to a couple of newspapers.

He'd be good to have, but we'd already got Ade Gardner (I think) doing the fitness job and I've no concerns with him.

Suppose the club can have a look to see how he’s grown his game in the year in Aus before either party commits.

Says on Wiki he was at Hunslet two seasons before joining us, how much you want to trust Wiki is up to you. But if he was registered to Hunslet then as far as I'm aware he couldn't play as an A N Other.

He was definitely at Hunslet before he came, but I thought he'd joined in trial initially. I could be wrong though, it was 30 years ago. I've had a look at the programme and he's not named at all.

No, he shouldn't be "shunned", but someone might want to have a quiet word with him.

Agreed, think Smith for one should pull him to one side and tell him to stop peddling that sort of rubbish

There's a clear contrast between the ' let's ease into it and avoid injures' approach of Tony Smith's Hull FC and the ultra intense, start early and keep the foot to the floor philosophy of Rovers Wille Peters.

Tony is a nice bloke until you disagree with him but I feel he is a tad out of touch with the the modern ways of Rugby League.

Only time will tell.

Yeh, he is quoted as Kilner-Douglas in Academy match reports.

He has good speed and is a good finisher, takes the ball up well and has developed physically near to the seasons end.

We used to do a family ticket, 2 adult and 2 junior tickets for the cost of 2 adult tickets. Free entry to junior ticket holders away from home as well my 2 boys followed Trinity up to the age of 16 for free, great value and got them hooked and my passport to every game and peace and quiet at home for Mrs PCA.

Wakefield Trinity • Under 16s season tickets 2024

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I have just seen that Hunslet are the next club to follow suit in offering free U16 season tickets for this season.

It may be too late this season but in 2024 do we think it would be a good idea for the club to follow suit?

It could certainly help to drive in some of a new generation of younger fans if it’s promoted through local high schools year 8-11 perhaps in the locality.

This season with the income streams not coming in from new facilities it msybe not the right time but 2024 certainly might be a good idea. Читать дальше...

Think Mitchell Pearce might be banned for our game as think you need to be playing a team that comes under rfl rules for his ban to be used.

It was only a matter of time before this happened. There is no general access to this facility for the Rovers games, you have to pay top dollar. Roll up roll up pay extra to join the elites, end scenes from Animal Farm anyone? Never mind you can always freeze in the concourse with the plebs whilst you wait in line for a the worlds worse pint of plastic beer.

Hull FC • Best SL overseas 17

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Not long until the season, seen this kind of thing on a few pages, something to keep us busy until our first friendly, what would be your best SL overseas 17. Mine would be

1: Tony
2: Best
3: Barnett
4: Carlos
5: Talonoa
6: Berrigan
7: Kelly
8: O Meley
9: Swain
10: Satae
11: W Manu
12: Mini
13: Smith

14: Moa
15: Greenhill
16: Mcmenemy
17: Fonua

Sure I'm forgetting a couple of decent props, leaving out Sika and Fitzgibbon was tough too. Читать дальше...

Doncaster RLFC • Restaurant Access

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Was thinking about Gary and Scott who used to sit in there to watch games.
And I would go up there at half time and have a pint and a word.
But now it's £25 a season or £5 a game depending if you have a season ticket.
Really!
The Dons deserve to fail...
