Quite possibly but it would be difficult to know for sure from his time at prop.

What’s your guys thoughts on the Portugal training camp?

From an outsider it seems strange that the team who finished second bottom last year are now sunning themselves and messing about in the pool.

Similar to as soon as you’d got knocked out the cup, players were posting pictures from all round Europe when other teams were in the semis/final.

Don’t think it sends the right message IMO

No tin hat required.

I think people are getting carried away. If WAFC become eligible for major football grant money I seriously doubt they would hand it over to develop a stadium they don't own a blade of grass. Should they ever be serious contenders I suspect they will be long gone from BV by then.

It's also worth noting that football fans are even more fickle than RL fans. WAFC have a very small window of opportunity to attract a serious fan base. I'd... Читать дальше...

Great guy loved the game and always had a wide smile on his face that got him the Threepenny's nickname of The Cheshire Cat. Lived for many years in Potterill lane in Sutton

Leeds worst ever overseas signing was John Gallagher. Dreadful and costly.

Can't agree with this. He was actually doing great till he got spear tackled at St Helens, after that was never the same

Obviously only posted once it was out in the public domain and was done out of respect.

No issue with the post Poptart, its just an odd circumstance that's all.

Apologies - I was asking you actually - I'll blame the awful wifi I'm for distracting me.

Yes, your response makes perfect sense.

I'd also considered just levelling the concourse and putting on temporary seating. Neatly solves a lot of issues in the medium term, until the club is in a position to invest further.

I know he's not a Trinity player but a local rugby league legend......as both an International referee but also bringing on untold number of juniors at Eastmoor.
Sad news.
RIP Fred.

This article says IMG are putting a club having a ladies team in the criteria for category A status.
I thought we were running a team but we are not mentioned in this article.
Anyone know for sure?

Wigan Warriors • Rugby League replayed

Thanks for that
Add to that Kurt Sorensen, 15 games and 8 tries.
And interestingly enough I was watching some clips from the Widnes FB pages the other day where they were picking their all time great teams and unsurprisingly Stuart Wright was on one wing (Offiah on the other).
And in the build up to that they discussed the options of each position and at centre Eddie cunningham was in the options with Frank myler, Darren Wright etc. But just missed out to the other 2. Читать дальше...

Sheffield are a decent team and no mugs.

I was concerned about us getting done on the outsides during the 1st half and there were a fair few 1 on 1 tackles missed.

Got to work on our attacking and defensive structure still, which is to be expected but I was pleased with Dwyer, seemed to turn the game around single handedly.

Not over concerned with the result as it was much needed preseason hit out. Читать дальше...

Steve Davies was seen as a promising young centre who, for some reason, never really fulfilled his potential. Alan Taylor was similar, an exciting young stand-off who Wigan unwisely sold about a year after this final. He then came back to haunt us in at least one match, playing for someone like Barrow IIRC, and ripping us apart.

You're right, that whole team was mismanaged and badly dismantled, but that seems to have been a hallmark of Wigan in the 1970s. It was... Читать дальше...

So you Harrison fans.
I watched him closely in the first half.
13 passes and only 3 found the man and 3 dribbles or runs with the ball and he lost it every time and one attempted tackle that he lost out on.
The second half he started the same and I stopped counting.
Admittedly he got better, slightly. Читать дальше...

Wakefield Trinity • Good result for Fev

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

seems like Fev picked up a few worrying injuries in the last two games... given they are only a week away from the first championship fixture of the season ,,, and I would hope we are beginning to ramp up intensity

it will be interesting to see if they play it safe or go all out in this game?
