Good article with proctor, from YP.

Didn't realise he had two young ones back in aus, like he says shows he's not here for a holiday.

If Sunday is anything to go by he’s a cracking signing. Early days but you can see he’s got the quality.

Toilets in the East Stand hasn't even had a sink never mind a cubicle in the 40 years I've been going. Covid and all this hand washing has turned people soft.

Halifax Panthers • Pre season Hunslet vs Halifax

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

So our second and final friendly takes place this sunday at the south leeds stadium. We will be going with a smaller squad for this one as simon makes is final decisions on who will play against sheffield in round one. Hunslet have some familiar names in there squad from the championship and are expected to be competing for promotion from league one this season so it should be a good game. Hopefully we can come through this game without any injuries and start to gel in attack and pick up a win. Just... Читать дальше...

How do we all feel we’ll go with Tommy replacing Briers. He’s got the experience on the field and has done his stint with New Zealand. Not sure what stamp he can put on the team creative wise that he hasn’t as a player

That isn't necessarily how it works though.

If you applied similar logic, Matty Peet only ever played at St Pats and has ended up coach of Wigan...

Be interesting to see if Gleeson ends up back in RL. He was very well thought of at Salford (who played some great rugby at the time) and that rep got him his gig in RU. Now he's not part of the England RU set-up, there's a potentially very good backs coach available.

I think he did some work with us last year. He would be a good addition for anyone. A shame we can’t get him in. Salfords attack looked great at the time he was there and he was an amazing player. Читать дальше...

To be fair, the problem is the dugouts and players/staff stood around them. As soon as they move them back over to the East Stand the view will be a lot better. Not perfect, but better.

Agreed.

Truth is much as I'd like it sorted, for now the West terrace full re-vamp would be more a vanity project.

However were it to be the difference between a Grade A or B when the IMG proposals are firmed up then it may well become a priority. Читать дальше...

Ok, waterclosset gate solved.

The water had been turned off during building work.

The builders were supposed to turn it back on but forgot.

Unfortunately when the ground staff checked the loo before the gates opened it appeared fine as there was still some water in the system, Unfortunately that soon ran dry as people started to use them.

Just one of the million tiny issues a build like this causes. Will be sorted for the next game. Читать дальше...

Ritchie Myler and his Lance Todd Trophy win in 2020?

I'd have Myler as a draw.

A bit maligned here, possibly because of the fee, but his best performances seemed to stir up feelings that he should be doing more, his try's and there were a few were mostly filed under 'just support play' rather than creative HB play.

I have posted something on the RWBA Group but I'll post an update here as well as it's part of the conversation.

We sold 125 copies (out of the print run of 150) which isn't bad considering the other things that were on sale yesterday and we only sold within the ground. The ideal plan would be to have volunteers outside the turnstiles but the volunteers that helped yesterday (including myself) were all in a Hospitality Box and that was open from 12:30pm. Squad now announced on Twitter and Palumbo still not there so looks like he too has gone. Consensus seems to be, that the squad is thin. Naturally. Here’s hoping we add some more swiftly. The Acadamy side is almost the 1st team squad BT. It's almost too late to bring in some quality to be competitive against Batley.

Yes I know the club have run out of ground development funding and we are having to 'suck it' at the moment. However I wonder if anyone has considered what the dump is costing the club. There is no doubt about it, away fan numbers are severely reduced by the fact that the club has designated it as the away supporters area. I know supporters... Читать дальше...
