You never know Vasty, Cas have always copied many of our initiatives, they may have ambitions of sharing with Glasshoughton Welfare

I assume we’ll be playing our Academy side in the Capital Challenge...too risky to play any of our 1st team squad surely?

Squad announced is basically the first team. I assume it's the only players we've got.

They are currently averaging 500 at Fev.

The Coach is a mate of my son and although I have no interest in them myself I do hear stuff.

The crux is ambition and potential and in that respect they have far more than Nostell Miners Welfare and Glasshoughton Welfare. The aim is to create a football club to suit a city of Wakefields size. By that I don't mean they see themselves in the Premiership in ten years or indeed ever. They want to create a quality semi-pro... Читать дальше...

Hopefully we'll see more of Lovodua at 9 this season:

Obviously this was just one day of the four training days during Hull FC's week, but it was clear to see Ben McNamara being used at half back with Tex Hoy at full back. Jake Clifford was alongside McNamara with Joe Lovodua training as a hooker.

Except Ashurst has played centre and hooker. I think hes as versatile as the rest.
Proctor is a big intelligent player. He will be able to play anywhere. If 13 is the best fit then great, but Mash said he'll also play wide sometimes.

When did he play in those position! I don't recall. Unless it was some emergency on the pitch. New level of pedantry even for you.

Also as ever you have an astonishing ability to create your own narrative, I never said he couldn't or wasn't versatile... Читать дальше...

I remember a lot of people wanted Steve Price to be sacked at the end of the 2019 season. If he had been he could be in this category also - took us to 2 finals in his first year, won the Challenge Cup in his second and delivered two major big game victories over Saints!

Steve Price never failed to surprise. Particularly at the end of 2019, 2020 and 2021.

Yes that's as I remember it too - I believe we said wanted to take the take the roof further towards the half way line (which may or may not be true) but we were stopped by Sky

Leigh Leopards • Re: Where do you expect Leigh to finish in the SL table?

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

A lot of time ,effort ,and money has gone into the rebrand and plans to help Leigh stay up this time , I truly hope it doesn’t fall on Stoney ground .
I have faith , and don’t think we will go down , but I do think we will struggle,,yeah we have some quality players , but we have some just number makers , let’s hope other become available as the season progresses.

Thanks for all the replies. We normally park near the hotel so will probably start there. Leigh centre pubs would mean a change of practice. Not impossible. Will also try Leigh east at some point.

Agreed about Higham. I always rated him at Saints when he rotated with Cunningham in pre Roby days. His stint at Wigan i recall was when they were having a few poor seasons? so may have brought his stock down a bit. Was disappointed when he left us for Leigh.
