Well FIL and Jonh, I'll have a go at disagreeing, because I think you're both wrong. Not so much about Lino, I tend to agree there, but certainly regarding Cas.

Widdop is where Broughy was when we signed him, only difference is Broughy always had more heart than Widdop.

Miller hs never regained his pace but he's still a decent player, but combined with Widdop that is one slow HB partnership by anyones standards. True Fin was slow but we are not Cas, Classy... Читать дальше...

There's a frustrated optician, if ever I saw one (but only while wearing high magnification glasses).

London Broncos • Free tickets for the season opener

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

It is what it is. One free ticket for a friend for ST holders as well. Step one appears to be to get people to come in. Step 2 is to get them to pay. I’m happy enough with this for the opener as a big crowd and a decent game is a good look. Frankly it’s probably a more effective way of getting people in than paying a wad to advertise in the Metro. I do hope they have gone round the shops in Tooting Broadway 15 minutes walk the other way.
Now the seeming failure to get sponsors or shirts though is anything but a good look. Читать дальше...

Fax 28v14Sheffield. That's as much of a hunch as owt else as like Terry says we've not much to go on. Partnerships and moves will have to be formed as we go and let's hope we have enough class to get past what looks a decent Eagles outfit. Up The Fax!

Leigh Leopards • Re: Comparing squad strength to 2017

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Too many of the 2017 squad were gnarly veterans:
Dane Weston, Danny Tickle, Cory Patterson, Micky Higham, Harrison Hansen, Atelea Vea, Glen Stewart, Martyn Ridyard, Jamie Acton, Gareth Hock.

There are plenty of good players but all in their 30's at the time.

As pointed out already Jukesy was way out of his depth.

Halifax Panthers • Round 1 Halifax vs Sheffield

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

So here we go for another season. I understand the concerns some have regarding us being under done for the start of the season i have them too and ideally would of liked another friendly but we are were we are. So as for the game on sunday for me Sheffield last season were good in attack but seemed to struggle in defence and lacked the ability against the better sides to put it together for 80 minutes as we saw when we played them away. They have made a fair few signings this off season most so... Читать дальше...

Bradford Bulls • Thoughts going into the season

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I feel more positive at the end of the off season than the start of it, so thats something, and I like most of the recruitment - just need to see how it pans out in games that matter now. Also as dddooommm says, v happy that finances haven't been a talking point for once!

My biggest area of concern is Odsal still, not the massive redevelopment, that was never going to happen - more just the state of what we already have. It was an unpleasant experience visiting last year, with the ridiculous... Читать дальше...

Leigh Leopards • Comparing squad strength to 2017

I can’t help thinking the squad assembled so far is nowhere near that of the 2017 version that only won 5 games and finished 2nd bottom, Her it is in it’s full glory:-
Backs:- Greg McNally, Ryan Hampshire, Samisoni Langi, Adam Higson, Lewis Foster, Dan Fleming, Ben Crooks, Mitch Brown, James Clare, Matty Dawson, Martyn Ridyard, Daniel Mortimer, Josh Drinkwater, Ben Reynolds.
Forwards:- Jamie Acton, Gareth Hock, James Green, Sam Hopkins, Liam Hood, Micky Higham, Antoni Maria, Eloi Pelissier... Читать дальше...

We can`t stop signing forwards and midfielders when a good centre half or left back would do.
We are going to have too many middles!!!
I really do hope we can keep Cresswell when all we will get is 3 to 4 million for him.
